Now this is a holiday polish collection!

Yeah so like I said yesterday, I spent some time perusing (drooling, gazing) the Sephora website and I saw something else that totally caught my eye (of course). If you recall, last week I posted about butter LONDON's holiday collection that I was less than thrilled with (see post). I even said that OPI and Essie's collections will blow them out of the water. Well I was right and I'm sure there's more to come as we get closer to the holiday season (I can't believe it's almost November).

Here is the beauty I found:

It's the Sephora by OPI Glimmer Wonderland 18 piece mini nail color set. The list of colors included:

- Dear Diary
- How Cute Is That?
- Natural Environ-mint
- It's Hippo To Be Square
- Access 24/7
- Ms. Can't Be Wrong
- Don't Feed The Hand Models
- Metro Chic
- Already Famous
- I'm With Brad
- Sample Sale
- Fiercely Fabulous
- Break A Leg-Warmer
- Bring On The Snowflakes
- Mermaid To Order
- I Don't Bite
- Eve-y On The Eyes
- Just A Little Dangerous

I literally want ever single color. Price on the beaut is $48.

Is this a holiday collection you would think about purchasing? Or is it too much and you need something simpler?

So I was perusing the Sephora site (surprise, surprise) and I always like to check out the Sephora Favorites section. If you're not sure what that is then you are missing out! Basically they take all the best sellers and most popular items and throw them all together in this amazing sample pack! I've never bought one before, but I'm really thinking of buying the one I saw. Since so many of you are new, you don't know about my mascara obsession. To catch up, you can read about it here, here and even here. Go ahead, knock yourselves out! Understandably, when I saw this my eyes got really big...

Hello beautiful! This is Lashtash by Sephora and I am currently swooning. Included in this awesome compilation of mascaras:

ABC's of Me

Ok, so the last time I had a bunch of new readers follow me, I did a post about the ABC's of Me that I saw on my girl Krystal's blog, Krystal's Kitsch. Since there are so many newbies to the blog, I wanted to do it again but switch it up a bit. So I found a different ABC's of Me that asked different questions. So feel free to pass this on, do your own or ask me more questions about myself. I love to share. Enjoy!

Age: 29

Bed size: Queen

Chore that you hate: Hmmmm, that would have to be dusting. I loathe it. Give me dishes or trash any day.
Dogs: I have 2 wonderful pups. A 7 year old yellow lab, Dakota, and a 1 year old mix, Utley.
Essential start to your day: Dunkin' Donuts pumpkin coffee
Favorite color: Gray
Gold or Silver: I usually wear silver, but I've been mixing some gold into my accessories lately
Height: 5'6" and I'd kill to be 2 inches taller
Instruments you play: I'm a master at air drums and air guitar.
Job title: Marketing Representative
Kids: If you count my dogs, 2.
Live: Happy to be back in Philly.
Mother’s name: Linda
Nicknames: In high school people called me by my last name because my BFF's name was Erin as well, but now it's more of a shortened version of my name like Er or E. My dad likes to call me E-ah because when my sister was little that's how she pronounced my name.
Overnight hospital stays: Only once when I was 19 for an appendectomy.
Pet peeves: Limp handshakes, not holding the door for the person behind you, letting people get out of an elevator before you get in, bad customer service
Quote from a movie: So many, but I watched this last night, "I'm 6'5, 220 and there's 2 of me!" - The Social Network

Right or left handed: Right.

Siblings: Younger sister
Underwear: None of your business, but I will say I have a variety.
Vegetable you hate: Peas and beans
What makes you run late: Showering too long and being a very chatty person.
X-Rays you’ve had: Wow, a lot...teeth, back, knee, ankle, chest
Yummy food that you make: Mexican dip, Enchiladas, Cheeseburger casserole, Stuffed jalapenos, Bean less chili
Zoo animal: Elephant

What are the ABC's of you?

Express Must Have Looks

I went into one of my favorite stores the other day, Express, and fell in love with oh so much of their new fall line (what else is new). I fortunately held myself back from buying everything my eyes could see. Then to torture myself some more I went on their website and found even more stuff I wanted to buy. Some of their must have looks were just too good to share. They always hit the mark with fashionable trends that I feel I could pull off. Here are some of my faves that caught my eye.

Dolman Sweater & Mini Skirt - Minus all the fur, I really love the textures.

Metallic Dolman Sweater & Mini Skirt - Same as above, love the different textures and the leopard long sleeve underneath really makes the outfit

One Sleeve Rouched Top - This is a great shirt to wear with a cute skirt or with jeans, very versatile.

Sequin Wide Neck Tee - Great top to wear under a blazer for work and then to go out for a night on the town

Sweater Poncho - This looks so comfy, I love the look of a flannel button down underneath

Long Sleeve Sheer Turtleneck & Sequined Mini - I LOVE this skirt and can translate well to a summer look

So what do you think of my looks? What are some of your fave Express looks right now?

Did you watch Once Upon A Time last night?

I want to know if you tuned in to watch Once Upon A Time last night. I checked it out and I think it could be an interesting show (if it doesn't get cancelled). I'm going to give it a shot because I'm curious to see where they take the story lines, plus it doesn't interfere with any of my other shows on Sundays!

What were some of your thoughts on the show?

New Blog Award

I was given another blog award by 2 amazing new bloggie friends, Ashlee over at On the Front Porch Looking In and Kristine at Living a Barefoot and Crazy Lifestyle. If you haven't gotten a chance to yet, please head over to their blogs and check them out.

It turns out Ashlee and I have A LOT in common: we are huge football fans (even though she roots for Nebraska and I root for PSU), we are the same career field, we both enjoy shopping and designer purses AND we are both sporty yet girly at the same time! Anyway, Ashlee will give you the low down on crafts, her wedding, football and anything else she happens to come across. Thank you for thinking of me lady!

As for Kristine, I get such a kick out of her blog! She is also one of my fave tweeps to talk to. We both detest beer, love our "furbabies" and are surprised we get along well with so many bloggers because in real life we're definitely "guy girls" (usually get along better with guys). Most importantly she doesn't judge me because I like things like Harry Potter and Twilight. Thank you for thinking me too!

Here's the dealy-o:

The Liebster blog award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. Liebster is a German word meaning dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome.

So now it's my turn to pick 5 people who I think deserve this award (with less than 200 followers). Wow, this was super hard.

1. Marisa over at A Girl in Heels is not only a bloggie, but my friend. I've known Marisa for a while and I enjoy reading her blog. She's always teaching me new things. She's a true fashionista and has great taste. You should definitely check her out. Plus she does awesome giveaways.

2. Heather at Big City Belle has everything from motherhood to fashion and makeup to cooking. I recently started following this blog and I'm so glad I did.

3. Chelsea from Haute Child in the City was a recommendation from my BBFF (Bloggie Best Friend Forever), Kristen @ Love, Lipstick and Pearls. I love Chelsea's taste, it's classic and trendy at the same time. Head on over there to read her take on some fashion trends.

4. Kiley from Hello Kiley is one of my fave Dallas bloggers (there's so many of you, but I love you all). I also have wonderful twitter convos with her as well. We talk TV, makeup, clothes and all types of things. I love her style and am so glad to have found her blog!

5. Amanda Faith at Princess of the Panhandle is another new blog I started following recently. I never would have thought I'd have so much in common with so many random people all over the country/world. Amanda loves her "furbabies" even if they drive her crazy, has great style and is also one of my fave pinterests to follow.

To keep this award going and pass it along to other new deserving blogs, the recipient must now recognize five other bloggers with less than 200 followers that have really stood out in the crowd.

The rules for the Liebster Award are:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.

2. Reveal your top five picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.

3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.

4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love too!

If you don't follow any of the blogs I spoke about, make sure you check them out NOW!

Upcoming Album Releases

I love my music. I don't go anywhere without my iPod, and if something ever happened to it I would probably cry for days. Some of the music set to come out over the next few months has me so psyched. I'm always asked by readers what kind of music I listen to and I've been slacking on my "Current Playlist" posts (promise I'll get on that). So here are some upcoming album releases that I can't wait to buy. FYI, I like random music and almost every genre. The whole spectrum is covered below.

Kelly Clarkson - Stronger
October 24, 2011

Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
October 24, 2011

Florence + the Machine - Ceremonials
October 31, 2011

Drake - Take Care
November 15, 2011

Rihanna - Talk That Talk

butter LONDON Holiday 2011 Collection

I am a nail polish hoarder/collector (whatever you wanna call it). I tried my first ever bottle of butter LONDON polish back in August (see post). I had my eye on it every time I went to Ulta and finally picked up a color and absolutely loved it!

I saw on Twitter (@butterLONDON), they cam out with their Holiday 2011 Collection. Here they are:

Fairy Lights

Tart With A Heart

The Black Knight

Now I love their polish, but I have to say I was disappointed with these. I don't feel that they are very "holiday" like to me, and there's only 3! I like the colors individually, but I'll probably end up buying OPI's or Essie's holiday collection. They tend to be more festive.

What do you think? What is your go to holiday collection?

A Shoe Addict's Bootie Call

All of you know my obsession for shoes. This fall's wilderness-inspired trend has me reeling. You can be outdoorsy and fashionable at the same time, I absolutely love it. After reading this month's article in Cosmo, I wanted to ask who is into the lace-up boot trend this year? I will definitely be getting a pair or two, a girl can always use another pair of boots. Here are some of that have been added to my wish list.
Aldo - Stallins at 6pm.com

Colin Stuart - Lace-up Bootie with Faux Fur Cuff at Victoria's Secret

Colin Stuart - Lace-up Bootie at Victoria's Secret

Steve Madden - Myahh

Steve Madden - Tanngoo

Which lace-up booties are on your wish list this year?

Getting ready for my iPhone 4S

Hopefully I'll be picking up my new iPhone 4S this weekend. I'm in dire need of an upgrade since I've been stuck waiting around with my 3G (I know, soooo outdated). To prepare for my new purchase, I'm obviously going to have to get a new case. So I've been doing some research, and these have been my faves. Let me know what you think.

Product Review: e.l.f. Nail Polish and NOTD

These e.l.f. product reviews keep coming! That's what happens when I buy a lot of stuff (see post). I ordered 3 nail polishes and 1 matte coat. I thought for the fall that a nice brown would do, it was definitely a color I didn't have in my repertoire and I was seeing it everywhere. Well when I got it, I was a little disappointed. Chocolate is the name of the color and it definitely looked exactly like a melted Hershey's bar. I remember my sister called it my poo color and unfortunately I agreed with her. So I figured, "Oh what the heck?" And this is how it looked...

It really didn't look all that bad once it was on my nails, but I still felt like I had to jazz it up. So I added a top coat of the Golden Goddess color I got as well and here was the final result...

I really didn't think gold sparkles would go well with that color brown, but now it's one of my faves. I had it on to go out Saturday night and I got a ton of compliments from it.

Great thing about this polish is it goes on smooth and it dries fast no matter how light or thick you pile it on. Most importantly, it didn't need a clear top coat which saved me a step. My only issue with the Golden Goddess color was that for some reason it had a powerful chemical smell that lingered on my nails until it was dry enough so I could wash my hands. It might just be the fact that it's a glitter polish, because the regular colors don't smell bad at all. As far as durability, it did peel a little at the top after I took a shower. Other than that, both colors are really holding strong and still look great. This is great polish at a great price. Unfortunately, I don't see the polish at Target like I do their other products. They have their selection online though.

Have you tried e.l.f.'s nail polish yet?

Knit Poncho Trend

As I was perusing my new October People Style Watch edition, I saw the new "celeb trend" is knit ponchos for fall. Now last year I was very close to buying one at Old Navy and I changed my mind because I thought I would have an issue carrying my purse (funny I know). I also didn't really see the trend anywhere else and if I'm not 100% sold on something I just won't buy it.

When I was at the mall the other week, I definitely saw a poncho in almost everyone of my favorite stores and now that I see it in People I think it's something I'll have to look into. So I did a little investigating online and came up with some of my faves. I hope you like them.

Caslon Marled Poncho at Nordstroms - $88

Michael Kors Turtleneck Poncho - $124

Merona Black Sweater Poncho at Target - $24.99

Cowl neck Sweater Poncho at Old Navy - $25
Are you going to get in on the poncho trend? Which brand do you like?

Product Review: e.l.f. Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara

I picked this little beauty during my e.l.f. shopping spree a couple weeks ago (see post). Much like most of the items I bought I was not let down with this either.

As you know my everyday mascara is Maybelline's Colossal Volume Express. Last week it knocked out the competition, Revlon's Grow Luscious, so much so that I sent Revlon's product packing (see post).

I knew the next opponent had to hold it's own. So when I had the chance to get a free mascara, I jumped on it.

Needless to say I have found a worthy opponent in e.l.f.'s Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara. It does what it says, doesn't clump or flake (2 of my biggest peeves) and it lasts all day.

I will definitely be using this in tandem with my Maybelline mascara, but it's nice to know I've found something I like just the same (and is cheaper). My only gripe with this product is as you can see in the picture, the wand takes up 3/4 of the product! I'm sure the amount won't last as long as my others, but for $3 I guess I can't really complain. Another neat thing about this is the brush! I don't know what it is about it, but it's the right firmness and size and the bristles are the perfect amount apart. It's definitely one of the better brushes I've seen.

Want to see how it compares to Maybelline Colossal Volume Express? Here are the pictures again.

Can you tell the difference? What do you think of these two products head to head?

**This product was purchased by me with my own funds. This post is not sponsored by any person or company. All reviews are my own opinions and thoughts of the products.**
